Quaver Visits AG

Students Sing with Quaver
Posted on 02/02/2024

On the last Thursday of each month Alex Green Design Technology Magnet Elementary hosts the Projectquver hands up Possibilities Program. Project Possibilities is an initiative designed to encourage career exploration for Alex Green students. As an Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) school, Alex Green equips every student with the tools they need to excel in higher education and the world.

In January, Alex Green welcomed Graham Hepburn, the vice president, content creator and co-founder at QuaverEd —a celebrity to students as both the embodiment of the interactive music curriculum and the personality behind Quaver.

Hepburn shared what inspired him to start Quaver and guided students through a series of original songs about their strengths, and aspirations. Students were engaged through every moment of his visit and were elated when they realized that Mr. Hepburn wrote a song specifically for Alexwith student Green and its design technology theme. Dreaming, designing, and building were the words heard ringing through the hallways as students sung the Alex Green Song written by Quaver, himself.

The Alex Green Song:

We are dreaming, imagining what is cool
We are designing, a better world for all
We are building-we're designers right here
Dreaming, designing, building...
Every single year

Dreaming, designing, building
Every single year X2

QuaverEd equips educators with music curriculum resources to reach students with the knowledge, mindsets, and skills they need to be successful citizens—in and out of the classroom. QuaverEd is in schools across Metro Nashville Public Schools and more than 21,000 schools across the globe. The program offers engaging lessons, amusing videos, songs and more that bring music classes to life. QuaverEd also provides comprehensive support to students by incorporating social-emotional learning and health modules.

It is truly an inspiration and encouraging to see companies give back to the students and communities that they serve each day. We are hopeful that seeing this great company give back in such a way will encourage other businesses to share the knowledge, time, and support with our students through Project Possibilities.
